MOTI VR

MOTI V.R. is a commissioned work by Geoffrey Lillemon for the MOTI Museum’s collection that challenges the concept of a museum and the way we tell stories about visual culture.

This project challenges the concept of a museum and the way we tell stories about visual culture. We worked on the art direction and design, making the visual language of the project, but also rethinking concept and designing objects.

MOTI VR is an architectural structure in which images and objects are used as building blocks to create a new virtual museum.

Museums are important institutions for the transfer of art and historical knowledge. However, they are not mobile and knowledge will often stay in one place. Apart from existing in physical space, in Breda, MOTI presents itself in virtual reality which allows the museum to exist beyond the museum walls and sharing the interpretation of visual culture with a wide audience.
