"The Ghost of the Sideshow" is an artwork commissioned by curator Charles Carcopino for "The New Freakshow" at Teatros Canal in Madrid.

It features holographic performers who move in sync with a score composed by Richard Burki at Future Phonic Studios. Their physicality is contorted and disfigured by artificial intelligence.

By combining historical illusions (Pepper's Ghost) with AI and audio reactivity, Geoffrey Lillemon crafts a performance that feels both ghostly and innovative.

The AI's unpredictability, paired with the rhythm of the music, breathes life into the holograms, creating a presence that is almost alive, yet trapped in a machine purgatory—a haunting form of voyeurism that takes the shape of theater.
